Goodbye 2021 and Lord of the Rings Turns 20

On this episode of The Hollywood Outsider podcast, we're discussing the 20th anniversary of the beloved cinematic nerd achievement Lord of the Rings, the beginning of one of the ballsiest choices Hollywood has ever made: filming a fantasy trilogy, all at once, when fantasy like this was not popular at all. And make no mistake, you can thank this series for Game of Thrones, Wheel of Time, Witcher, and numerous other fantasy shows getting greenlit. It showed there was an audience for it as long as you did it right.
