The Walking Dead Season 4 is the focus of this special episode of The Hollywood Outsider Podcast! Join us as we take a look back at all of Season 4, from life at the prison to traversing the tracks en route to Terminus. Is Rick a leader now? Are we finally ok with Carl? What is the deal with Lizzie? Is Carol the new favorite character? All of this and much more as we recap the entire fourth season of AMC's The Walking Dead for you to catch you up just in time for Season 5! We begin with the first episode, where Rick is now a pacifist and far removed from his life as a leader. Michonne is on the hunt for the elusive Governor, Carl is growing consistently frustrated with his dad, and Carol is becoming much less tolerant for things that could lead the groups demise. We discuss the varying themes this season including disease in an apocalypse, what IS Terminus, and especially: What would you really do with a screaming baby in a land of zombies? Director Don Thacker is an independent filmmaker on the move. His first film, Motivational Growth, has garnered the attention of many critics and fans alike through its existential look at absurdity. The film's main character, Ian, is a man living in self-imposed isolation. One day, through a curious set of events, Ian begains receiving live lessons from The Mold (voiced by genre legend Jeffrey Combs). Don stops by The Hollywood Outsider to discuss his film, the films he loves, and most importantly - Why he loves movies! This is a very fun and engaging interview and one that every fan of film, and especially independent filmmaking, will love. Enjoy our conversation with writer / director Don Thacker. *Email us your thoughts on the episode to feedback@thehollywoodoutsider.com and be sure to join our Facebook Group Listen and Subscribe for FREE to a new episode every Thursday of The Hollywood Outsider Movie and TV Podcast at: Other Great Recent Hollywood Outsider Episodes: Interview with Coherence Director James Ward Byrkit

Jumping the shark is a popular term these days for when a TV show or film series makes a ridiculous plot point that forever dooms it to mockery, named after an infamous Happy Days episode where Fonzie literally jumps a shark. For this episode of The Hollywood Outsider, we are discussing Actors who have figuratively 'jumped the shark' in their careers. They were one respected, the best of the best! Then, maybe they chose a few clunkers or mouthed off to law enforcement, and now their careers are in shambles. How does this happen to such talented actors and especially, who are the prime examples? These questions and more are answered on this week's show! Also discussed this week on The Hollywood Outsider Movie and TV Podcast:

This week The Hollywood Outsider presents a special episode in which Justin has a spoiler free conversation with James Ward Byrkit, writer/director of the science fiction film COHERENCE. On the night of an astronomical anomaly, eight friends at a dinner party experience a troubling chain of reality bending events. Part cerebral sci-fi and part relationship drama, COHERENCE is a tightly focused, intimately shot film that quickly ratchets up with tension and mystery. James Byrkit was a delight to talk to, incredibly informative, and we hope to see more from this talented filmmaker in the future. In his new film, Falcon Rising, action-superstar Michael Jai White stars as John 'Falcon' Chapman. An ex-marine consumed by guilt, Chapman finds purpose in Brazil after the vicious attack of his sister Cindy (Laila Ali) brings him face-to-face with the Yakuza underworld. Michael took time to sit down with Justin and Aaron to discuss his new film, performing real stunts in the CG-obsessed culture of today's action films, as well he dropped a small hint for you Black Dynamite fans. A fun interview from a class act - Listen now to Michael Jai White! Click here for Justin's review of Falcon Rising Email us your thoughts on the episode to feedback@thehollywoodoutsider.com.
